Eximcorp Hasslacher Duo / Trio Beams

Eximcorp Hasslacher Duo and trio beams as well as glulam productions are tried and tested solid wood products for supporting structures made from solid wood lamellaeof moisture content at about 12% to minimize deformation of wood lamellae and the associated adverse effects on structures due to inherent characteristics of shrinking and/or swelling in wood consequent to cyclic changes in weather conditions. MF or MDI/PMDI (PU) irreversible bond glue, free rom formaldehyde, is used to laminate the wood which also gives its bond a high moisture resistance characteristic. However, the natural formaldehyde in the wood does emit formaldehyde but such emission is negligible, far below the limits set out in EN 13986 or any other international standard.

Eximcorp Hasslacher DUO/TRIO glued beams are especially suitable for all applications with high demands on form stability of the wooden parts in the building. In particular, these are ideal for exposed applications which must meet high aesthetic requirements without the use of chemical wood preservation. The solid wood appearance and character is maintained by the use of very few joints in production, necessary to meet the requirement of long lengths.

The low level of timber moisture means that chemical treatment of the timber is unnecessary, should the construction happen in clean and dry environment free from tropical insects and termites. However, in areas having insects or termite infestation, suitable prophylactic or durable vacuumpressure treatment of beams by way of preservative should be done before use in suitable doses depending on the local conditions both in wood as well as surrounding grounds.

Eximcorp Hasslacher Duo/Trio and Glulam Beams are ideal for wooden homes and buildings including multi-storey residential or office buildings for all the different applications such as wall, truss, spars and purlins, exposed ceiling and flooring fencing etc.

Eximcorp Hasslacher Duo/Trio or Glulam beams are made to order products with vast possibilities of cross sections, shape and length etc. as required and designed in the project. However, there are certain sizes, most commonly used in small wooden homes and buildings. Briefly, the availability options can be summed up as follows:

DUO/TRIO Beams

Thicknesses: 80mm (Duo) and 120mm (Trio)
Width: 100mm in multiple of 20mm up to 200 mm
Length: up to 12 Meter
Strength class: GL 24h using lamellae of C24

Glulam Beams

Width: 90mm to 200mm
Height: 120mm and in multiple of 40mm up to 1000 mm.
Length: up to 12 Meter
Strength class: GL24h

Option of profiling on two sides or other joinery work including designing and fabrication of special components is possible, but needs prior arrangement. It is also possible to offer complete set of finished and profiled beams with special components in SKD condition to install at sight.

Note: The full specifications on properties and characteristics are available and can be downloaded for references in design. Moreover, since Duo/Trio or Glulam Beams are tailor made to designs, the possibilities are endless except that transport of packages in excess of 12M in length is not possible by Containers.
